PI Semi is looking for a BMS product management veteran who is highly motivated to participate in the exciting journey with a small enterprise. The candidate will be responsible to develop and grow a critical product line and plays a key role in this small but highly trained professional team. He will be the common thread of almost all functional groups from design, applications, test and product engineering, and to some extent, foundry and packaging as well. He will be responsible to manage the entire product life cycle from cradle to grave. Responsibilities:

Develop BMS product strategy and lead the execution of the product roadmap
Market analysis including SAM, competition, customer base, future trends
Establish business cases for products to develop and manage the progressive roadmap
Collaborate with design and field teams to determine potential trade-offs for different system and IC architectures, leading to solutions that meet the product line’s goals.
Drive product definition process and manage the production of collaterals from initial product proposal to mass production.
Collaborate with all functional groups to ensure product definition specifications optimally align with existing IP, resources, processes, target timeline, etc.
Technical leadership of the product definition process
Support product design-in for key customers
Definition of verification requirements according to specific battery standards
Collaboration with analog and digital design team as well as with the application engineering teams throughout the whole development cycle
Drive strategic alliances / partnerships in cooperation with engineering based business development

Qualifications:

Bachelor or Master Degree in EE, ECE, or related majors
8+ years of experience in BMS related product definition, design or PLM roles
Experience with multi-cell battery packs for UPS, ESS, Automotive, or Light EVs
Strong analytical and technical skills
Strong team worker within multi-discipline and multi-cultural environments, self-driven attitude to get engaged and contribute
Excellent communication skills both written and spoken in Mandarin and English
Prior experience working at Automotive OEMs, Tier 1 or 2 suppliers in defining, implementing, or supporting Battery Management Systems is a plus
